Here are a few simple exercises you can do with a box or a chair at home to help build strength for various types of Capoeira style handstands. Try and spend a minute in total on each exercise, even if you have to come down in between, and don’t progress to the next exercise until you’re feeling comfortable with the previous one.
N.B. If whatever you’re using as your elevated surface is fairly light, brace it against something so it doesn’t shift too much when you’re using it.
